Nat’l Medical Rehabilitation is a single-specialty, small medical practice based in Fort Washington Maryland. We are a multi-provider clinic, providing hands-on medical care based on Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Our physicians, physical therapists and staff work with you to improve daily living and provide relief from pain and injury. We hope you'll stop by to see what medical care is like when it's provided with the patient in mind and not in a "revolving door" setting.
At Nat'l Medical Rehabilitation, our staff is on hand to guide you through the process of rehabilitating your injury. During your rehabilitation program, communication with you is key as you work with our team. We strive for maximum flexibility and pain-free living long after our time together ends.
Nat’l Medical Rehabilitation is a minority-owned medical practice that has been serving the Washington DC Metro area since 2001. The practice was established by Dr. Daniel R. Ignacio, a pioneer in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation here in the Washington DC Area at Greater Southeast Hospital and Georgetown University.
Dr. Ignacio opened his private practice in the 1980's because he found his patients were experiencing pain and other maladies that were ignored in the hospital setting. Dr. Ignacio advocated for healthcare equality for all patients he treated regardless of race, income and social standing. His treated every patient as part of his extended family and this has remained a driving mission for Nat'l Medical Rehabilitation.
In honor of Dr Ignacio, Nat'l Medical Rehabilitation continues his original purpose - our staff are real people who listen to you, our patients feel like extended family, and yes we agree it's a little old-fashioned. But that's a legacy we aim to continue.
We customize physical therapy programs for every patient, and clinical assessment of nerve injuries with Electrodiagnostic Neurodiagnostic examinations. A variety of injuries from minor accidents, work injuries, pre and post surgery treatment and severe chronic pain have found relief through the medical treatment programs developed under our expertise.
Intense pain, muscle weakness or simply not being able to move like you used to means that you probably enjoy your life less. Our Physical Therapists evaluate your injury and create a comprehensive Physical Therapy treatment plan. Using exercises, modalities, stretching, and even aquatic exercises, our therapists teach you how to manage your pain and most importantly, how to help you heal so you can live your fullest life.
At our clinic, we specialize in advanced management techniques designed to provide targeted relief for migraines and muscle spasticity. Using injectable therapies, we can effectively address these conditions at their source.
Chronic migraines can be debilitating, affecting your ability to work, socialize, and enjoy daily activities. Our approach involves the use of carefully administered injections that interrupt pain signals associated with migraines. By targeting specific neuromuscular pathways, these treatments can reduce the frequency and severity of migraine attacks.
Muscle spasticity is often a result of neurological conditions. It can limit mobility and cause significant discomfort. We utilize injectable treatments that work directly on the affected muscles, helping to relax them and restore function.
We are contracted with most health insurance carriers. We also accept worker's compensation and auto accident cases. We offer flexible payment plans and a substantial discount for our cash patients. Contact us for more information
